This top floor apartment is in a well located period building in Holland Park Avenue in west London. The brief from the client was to have a complete update for the interiors, incorporating the characterful, exposed roof trusses. The works included a complete refurbishment of guest bedroom and bathroom, installation of a new gas fireplace to living/dining room, updating of lighting throughout as well as addition of new interior finishes, furniture and accessories.

A complete redesign of guest bedroom in this top floor apartment transforming it into a multi-purpose cosy and stylish TV room, home office and guest bedroom retreat.

Two lovely brass wall lights with silk lampshades have been added to two of the new wall panels either side of the quirky parrot prints in the centre panel.

A bespoke fitted desk was designed for a nook that previously had a built-in wardrobe. Feature wallcovering was added from Cole & Son. Brass pull handles were added to drawers to match other brass elements in the room.

The bathroom was completely refurbished while keeping some existing pieces such as the vanity unit base, claw foot bath, wall mirrors and heated towel rail.

A new decadent and atmospheric bathing area was designed with feature wallcovering helping to bring a sense of the natural world inside. Sanitaryware, brassware, lighting and sound system were also updated.

The existing large vanity unit was completely updated with new marble look composite stone top, new basins, tapware and newly painted vanity base. The new tiled floor with geometric floor design adds some Victorian classic details to the space.

The shower was completely refurbished with new tiling, brassware, a useful shower niche with downlight and a feature dark green tiled wall with lighting strip detail above.
Living & Dining Room
This large living and dining room features a really interesting ceiling design with exposed timber roof trusses. A new gas fireplace was installed. Bespoke roman blinds were added along with a deep buttoned linen sofa.

The existing double sided fireplace was replaced with an easy to use remote controlled gas fireplace.
Dining area
A new feature paint colour was added to the end wall of this large reception room with client’s existing dining table and leather covered dining chairs bought at auction. The paint colour highlights the beautiful antique gold framed mirror.
Reading nook in kitchen
A cosy reading nook has been created at the end of the kitchen overlooking the roofscape of this Holland Park address.
Bedroom
The walls were repainted in a lovely mid grey to complement the new deep blue blackout roman blinds along with feature wall mounted swing arm wall lights either side of the client's existing bed.
Hallway
A new deep grey wall colour adds some atmosphere to this space and has been teamed up with a large feature industrial styled mirror with chunky timber shelf, new black cloakroom door handles and client’s own artwork

The addition of this industrial style chunky timber shelf with iron wall fixings is a really useful and space saving solution. A place to put your keys down and to display plants and accessories.
